i must say, with all the honesty i could ever muster, this is the best story i've read in a lobg time. Related to mlp or not. Sir, you have a gift, and i'm looking forward to see anything else you may present the world with. 

this was even worth the trouble of registering and commenting with my horribly spazzy phone. 

by the way! i'm swedish, so i laughed a bit at the fjords thing. fjords are mainly found in norway. An our next ruler is actually going to be Queen Victoria! So there ypu have it. Thanks for an amazing read!

I actually read this months ago. Twilight is my favorite of the Mane 6 so I was really happy to see you made her your next humanized mare as the girl of the nameless man's dreams. 'Bout damn time I got around to reviewing it. 

First things first: I'm so happy you wrote this, and I really hope you're continuing on with these pieces because they are SO good. I've already told you in my reviews for Regrowth and Bittersweet how much I love them, and how you take a simple formula and make absolutely awesome work out of it. Your humanized mares are so right-on - so perfect for the character, so much with everything that made them great in the show, and so much that I'd love to meet them in real life. Twilight here is quiet but sweet, and not just smart but actually sly in a bookish student way. She is also the first of your humanized mares to strike me as being truly sexy without really trying to be, and in many ways you did really well to make her feel more familiar to me than Applejack or Pinkie Pie did--a student, down-to-earth and intensely focused yet always willing to talk despite her worries.
I can't say I'd ever imagined Spike as a top-notch Harvard grad in one of Twilight's lab's before...but hey, he is kind of the vain type, always proud of his accomplishments and idiosyncrasies, and always a #1 assistant, so why not. And I have to say, the best part of this I would have to say is the whole setup with the ending. The skip forward in time, the reminiscing, and the final scene are all really lovely. 

But if I were to give this story 9.5 stars, I would. I'm still giving it 10 because I'd consider it disrespectful to only give 9 for something so vivid and so thoroughly, painstakingly well-written. But I have to say I didn't quite feel the connection between the main character and Twilight the way I thought I might going into this one. In Regrowth and Bittersweet the main character was heavily burdened but in this fic I didn't identify with him quite as well. That's a minor issue given the storyline though...more importantly, I didn't lose myself in the conversations between him and Twilight quite as well as I did in the other pieces. It's no surprise that Twilight would pour out so much knowledge in her speech, but I really felt like some of the dialogue sections were in need of some trimming, especially when she and the main character kept tossing back and forth everything they seemed to know--in a couple places I was hoping you'd just move on to another topic of concern.
Finally, this is the first story of the three where I felt like the sex was actually too short and could've used a few more details. I would usually not read a story like this one for the sex, especially since I've described it as the type where the sex sort of just "happens" because the characters discover that they truly need each other. But Twilight struck me as being truly sexy in this fic and the sex in this story felt to me like it was cut off a bit too soon, and cut down a bit too much, each time.

Don't get me wrong though, I still love this fic, even though I would put Regrowth as my favorite of the three because it's such a beautiful story of discovery and redemption. I really hope you're going to keep this up for the rest of the Mane 6 - I'd love to see Rarity's story! Keep up the great work.

Damnit your words make me cry so hard. this is one more perfectly written fanfic and i have to say you couldmake a serious living just by writing. I freaking want to meet you if only to compliment you in person. Just keep writing you god of words.

Ive just been mindfucked by the scientific speak, even though I understood most of it (probably because it was one in the morning), but nevertheless amazing story. can't wait for your one about Fluttershy, can't wait to see how that one goes! :)
